It should be good news for Shania fans who haven't seen her for a while - she hasn't released any new material since 1992 when Up! was released as a double album, with three different discs—pop (a red CD), country (a green CD), and Indian film music (a blue CD). However, her record company recently denied that any new releases were imminent, so the appearance on American Idol might be all fans can hope for this year.
